HB301

Appointment of a special prosecutor should the circuit attorney or prosecutor be deemed to not be doing their job efficiently. There is also a provision that should anyone dox a person, that person could be accused of performing a felony. There are some grass roots organizations against that part, but I cannot understand what the problem would be. Also, there was an amendment added to not allow celebratory gunfire.

SB186

This is almost identical to HB301 except there has been an amendment added to this to make a circuit attorney or prosecutor ineligible to run for office if they were removed through this law, if passed.

HB702

Return control of St. Louis City police back to Jefferson City, where it had been up until 2013. The current active staff of the St. Louis City police is less than 800. This bill includes a raise for city police as well as a staffing level of 1,313. The mayor of St. Louis City would sit upon the board that manages the police department.
